Tabata Welcome to Crossfit

Had our new friend Becka over for a CF intro and did the infamous tabatas with a twist.

Excercises were:
-pushups
-situps
-press/pushpress(45 lb)
-row/squat

Becka kicked ass and I think will be back for more!

I've been trying to figure out how many people know about Crossfit in Corvallis. It's starting to seem like a lot of people, they just don't really talk about it. What's your experience with that?
I also want to start a group in the near future, I hope.

Also if you 2 are interested in tech stuff or talking about your blog you should come to Beer and Blog http://corvallis.beerandblog.com , this week it's at Cloud 9 @ 5pm-730pm on Wednesday 4/8. also next Wednesday 4/15

Not really sure about # of crossfit folks around. Aside from you and a couple others everyone we know are friends of ours who have come to our place to work out with us. We've all been talking about some evening workouts somewhere in a park once the weather gets better

Looking for Crossfit in Corvallis, found your site & this one:

Wanted to get my OSU student hooked up in the Valley, see there are gyms in Eugene & Salem...is there really a place in Corvallis? Would be interested in info if you can share! Love Crossfit here in Redmond, best crew of coaches ever and great community of crossfitters!

Tracy,

The website you found is a new affiliate in corvallis. At the moment he doesn't have an actual location but hopes to be running some some weekend classes outside when the weather gets better. I think that's slightly postponed while he is getting some knee surgery but I would check his site for more details. A couple folks at OSU apparently are also just now starting classes. They have level 1 certs but I'm not met them so I can't say anything at this point about their quality as trainers. I recently had some email correspondence and they sounded pretty excited about the whole thing which is a good sign. Shoot me an email and I'll pass along their email info to yet. They are also going to be running classes outside with more mobile type equipment as the campus rec center is not very conducive to crossfit.

Any word on progress for OSU to have any CF classes yet? too bad they couldn't turn one of the upstairs spaces into a box! Maybe?

So, would love to know if any boxes open up there in corvally...
